Spain’s biggest food festival is returning to Dubai this September

September 2026 brings a diverse lineup of events to KwaZulu-Natal, ranging from music and food festivals to sports and cultural celebrations. Beginning with the Durban Street Food Festival at the Pavilion Shopping Centre from September 4 to 6, the month kicks off with a three-day extravaganza featuring a variety of culinary delights, live entertainment, and family activities.

The festival runs from 3pm to 2am, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere for those who want to dance into the early hours. On September 6, cycling enthusiasts can participate in the WOA iQembu Cycle Challenge, a 12km race starting at 7am along the M4 Highway. Tickets are priced affordably at R150 to R200, making it an accessible cultural outing for all.

Heritage Day in KZN is marked by a plethora of activities, including a performance by Sjava, Simmy, and the Q Twins at the Durban Botanic Gardens on September 24. For cricket fans, another major event on Heritage Day is the South Africa vs Australia first ODI at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on September 24 at 10am. Richards Bay comes alive with Dolosfees from September 24 to 26, featuring a range of artists, cultural performances, food stalls, a beauty pageant, art activities, and entertainment for children.

Tickets start at R100 per day, with a weekend pass available for R350. On September 26, the Shisanyama Heritage Festival in Durban's Berea Rovers hosts Kelvin Momo, providing an additional option for celebrating Heritage Day. Maskandi music lovers can head to the Ugu Maskandi Festival on the South Coast between September 25 and 27, showcasing artists such as Sjava, Mafikizolo, and Mbuzeni.

The month concludes on September 27 with the Scottburgh Mall Family Trail Run, a family-friendly event featuring races at 8am and 8.30am. With a wide array of events catering to various interests, KZN's September calendar promises an exciting and engaging month for locals and visitors alike.
