#SHOWBIZ: Dylan Sprouse: 'My career was like child labour in coal mines'

Former child star Dylan Sprouse has likened his career to child labor in coal mines. The actor, best known for his work on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, recently shared his experiences on his Wildmen podcast. Sprouse was joined by Mark Indelicato, a fellow cast member from The Suite Life, who praised Sprouse's talent and noted they both grew up in the industry.

Sprouse jokingly remarked that their work was child labor, comparing it to how children used to work in coal mines at a young age. Both Sprouse and Indelicato, now 32, referred to their experiences as "survival" stories. Sprouse explained that the workaholic attitude instilled in them by their early career had a significant impact on their self-esteem, as their work was a daily routine and a large part of their identity.

Sprouse was fortunate to have his twin brother Cole, who also shared the same experiences, as they worked together on Grace Under Fire and later The Suite Life. Indelicato echoed Sprouse's sentiments, acknowledging the anxiety he felt when not working, and emphasized the importance of supporting each other to understand the unique challenges they faced growing up in the entertainment industry.
