Search expanded for 3 teenagers missing off Johor coast

Mexico's National Search Commission for Missing Persons has welcomed its first canine member, a Belgian Malinois named Molly, to bolster its efforts in locating missing individuals across the nation. The introduction of Molly follows a recent press release detailing her role within the K9 unit, trained to search both on land and around bodies of water.

Equipped with a tactical harness and Mexican flag patch, Molly stated she is ready to contribute her exceptional sense of smell to the commission's mission, which involves searching for people in Mexico's 32 federal entities. While details on her breed, training history, and deployment schedule remain undisclosed, Molly's arrival could prove invaluable to the commission's ongoing searches.

In Guanajuato, a search collective leader has reported that canine teams have confirmed approximately eight out of every ten positive findings in the search for clandestine graves. Notably, the Guanajuato Attorney General's Office employs 17 dogs, including nine specialized in forensic search and detection, while the National Guard has five assigned to search-and-rescue operations.

The CNB aims to detail Molly's training and fieldwork in due course, emphasizing that every search is a result of extensive preparation and dedication.
