SBU alleges Kaplunov planned FSB-ordered killing of Russian opposition figure
Ukraine’s SBU Security Service on Sept. 3 said it had uncovered contacts between Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps of HUR, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, and Russian security services. Kaplunov was tasked with preparing an assassination attempt against one of the leaders of the Russian opposition movement in Ukraine, the SBU said.
