Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission launches Kingdom’s pavilion at Moscow International Book Fair 2026

Saudi Arabia's Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission inaugurated the Kingdom's pavilion at the 2026 Moscow International Book Fair today. The fair takes place in Russia's capital from September 2 to 6. Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, CEO of the Commission, stated that the presence underscores the strong cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.

The event aims to showcase Saudi literary and intellectual activity to Russian and international audiences. The pavilion serves as a comprehensive cultural window that highlights the diverse intellectual and creative landscape fueled by Saudi Vision 2030. The Commission seeks to support Saudi creatives and publishers, open new avenues for cultural exchange, and foster cultural dialogue.

The Saudi pavilion comprises government bodies and cultural organizations led by the Commission, such as the King Fahd National Library, King Abdulaziz Public Library, and the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives. It also features a cultural program with panel discussions and poetry evenings led by leading Saudi writers and intellectuals.

These sessions will discuss literature, publishing, and translation, showcasing Saudi cultural achievements and their international impact. This participation is part of the Commission's efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia's cultural footprint at major global events and promote national initiatives that support authors and books, solidifying the Kingdom's status as a leading cultural destination and a beacon of knowledge.
