Saia reports LTL tonnage growth in July and August

Saia Inc., a Georgia-based logistics company, announced July and August results showing growth in its less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping operations compared to the same periods in 2025. In July, the company saw a 0.8% increase in LTL shipments per workday, while tonnage per workday surged 7.8% and weight per shipment grew 7.0%. August saw further expansion with LTL shipments per workday increasing 1.1%, tonnage per workday rising 8.7% and weight per shipment climbing 7.5%.

For the first three months of the year, Saia reported a 1.0% increase in LTL shipments per workday, an 8.3% rise in tonnage per workday and a 7.2% growth in weight per shipment when compared to the same period in 2025. The company cautions that actual third-quarter and annual results may vary significantly from the data provided. Saia operates 218 terminals and provides LTL, brokered truckload, expedited transportation and other logistics services.
