Ryan Reynolds' new Wrexham rival? Hugh Jackman confirms Norwich City investment talks

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman is considering investing in Norwich City, as he is in talks to acquire a stake in the English soccer club. The Australian actor, renowned for his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, is a good friend of Ryan Reynolds, who co-owns Wrexham alongside Rob Mac. Wrexham, formerly a non-league soccer team, is now managed by Reynolds and Mac, who have secured three consecutive promotions, including a run in the Championship between 2022 and 2025.

Reynolds and Mac's success at Wrexham has sparked interest in celebrity investments from other EFL clubs, leading to Hugh Jackman expressing his interest in investing in a soccer club as well. The 57-year-old Canaries supporter, whose mother was born in Norwich, confirmed ongoing discussions with talkSPORT when asked about getting involved with an English soccer club.

Jackman, who appeared alongside Reynolds in the blockbuster hit Deadpool and Wolverine, is a strong supporter of Norwich City. He shared his enthusiasm for the club's prospects of getting promoted this year, stating that "That's my prediction." Jackman previously turned down an opportunity to invest in Norwich over a decade ago, expressing his love for Carrow Road and the club but noting that he "decided not to invest."

If Jackman follows through with his investment, the competition for Premier League promotion between Norwich City and Wrexham could intensify, with both clubs aiming for a similar destiny.
