KOTA BHARU: Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has made his way to PAS Youth’s annual muktamar, accompanied by a team of 25 fellow Umno Youth leaders. The Umno delegation was invited by the Islamic party to attend the event. As Dr Akmal and his fellow Umno leaders entered the hall, they were met with the traditional shout of takbir from the PAS Youth delegates.
In announcing Dr Akmal’s arrival, PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden welcomed him by saying, "Let us all welcome YB Akmal." Representatives from other Perikatan Nasional components, with the exception of Bersatu, were also present at the muktamar. The muktamar will continue until Saturday. Meanwhile, PAS’s top leaders have been invited to Umno’s general assembly, which is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 12.
