Qatar ranks first in MENA, top 5 globally in Standard of Living Index

Qatar has emerged as the top-ranked country in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and fifth globally, in the Standard of Living Index according to the 2026 Legatum Prosperity Index. This high ranking signifies the ongoing improvement in the quality of life for both citizens and residents of Qatar. The country also secured the eighth position globally in the Development Index, which takes into account standard of living, health, and education.

This ranking showcases Qatar's progress in establishing advanced infrastructure for essential services that are crucial to improving quality of life. These achievements are a direct result of the country's commitment to the Third National Development Strategy, which is the main tool for implementing the goals set forth in Qatar National Vision 2030.
