Police inspector dies after weekly fitness exercise in Sokoto

Inspector Adamu Isah of the Sokoto State Police Command passed away following a weekly fitness routine, the police command has announced. The tragic event occurred on Wednesday when Isah, a member of the Department of Operations, collapsed shortly after completing the walkathon exercise at the command headquarters. DSP Ahmad Rufa'i, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed that Isah was promptly transported to a hospital for medical assistance, but he tragically succumbed to his condition.

In response to the incident, Commissioner of Police CP Hayatu Shaffa expressed profound sorrow over the loss of his dedicated colleague. He lauded Isah's unwavering commitment and professionalism, highlighting his active participation in the command's volleyball team and boxing activities. Shaffa further emphasized Isah's disciplined nature and substantial contribution to the operational success of the police command.

The commissioner prayed for the strength of Isah's family and extended support from the police force, assuring that they would provide necessary assistance during this challenging period.
