The Dewan Pemuda PAS Central Committee has approved six nominations to be carried forward to the PAS Central Committee Muktamar, including the requirement that all Parliament and DUN seats won by PAS should remain contested by their candidates in the upcoming election. KOTA BHARU: The Dewan Pemuda PAS Central Committee passed a resolution that all Parliament and DUN seats won by PAS should remain contested by their candidates in the upcoming election, including cooperation with any party.

Head of Public Relations for Dewan Pemuda PAS, Khairul Nadzir Helmi Azhar, said the relevant resolution was brought up by Padang Terap delegation and accepted by a show of hands without discussion. He stated that the resolution among the six passed at this muktamar session would be taken forward to the PAS Central Committee Muktamar.

"The Padang Terap resolution accepted without discussion sets all Parliament and DUN seats won by PAS across Malaysia to remain PAS seats and be contested by PAS candidates in the upcoming election. This is to maintain the trust and faith of PAS voters who chose them as their representatives, as well as being the principle and basis of PAS in any coalition bargaining," he told the media after the resolution session on the previous evening, which received over 800 votes.

Khairul said five other resolutions were also passed, including three which were accepted and discussed and two which were conditional. Furthermore, the passed resolutions also urge the government to introduce a more robust digital marketplace framework to protect and enhance the competitiveness of local businesses against unfair competition, including restricting foreign and replica goods, price fixing, platform fees and lack of protection for local products and brands.

The resolution was proposed by representatives of Dewan Pemuda PAS. Meanwhile, Khairul, who is also the Chairman of the PAS Pemuda Muktamar 67, explained that the resolution-making session was held earlier at the muktamar due to time constraints, to make room for key speakers in the main address to be delivered at the upcoming public event.
