Pablo Torre says 'more to come' after NBA crackdown on Clippers

Pablo Torre, the journalist behind the NBA's crackdown on the Los Angeles Clippers, revealed that there is more to the story than what was reported in the official NBA investigation. Speaking on his podcast, Torre explained that the story surrounding the salary cap violations and the role of Kawhi Leonard is far from over. The investigation, conducted by a law firm hired by the NBA, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, focused primarily on Leonard's transfer from the Toronto Raptors to the Clippers in 2019.

The findings also hinted at another player involved in the scheme. Notably, Dennis Wong, the co-owner of the Clippers, was not included in the investigation. In response to the NBA's decision, Steve Ballmer, the team's owner, was suspended for a year from all league and team activities. Torre emphasized his commitment to the story, stating that he aims to uncover additional information.

Despite earning a Pulitzer Prize for his work, Torre has faced criticism, particularly from the Clippers. The team's attorney claimed that Torre's coverage was "vitriolic" and "based on anonymized gossip." Clippers ownership further accused Torre of inaccurately alleging misconduct, stating that neither Ballmer nor the Clippers engaged in any wrongdoing.
