Olympic champion Davis-Woodhall survives car crash, says I’m lucky to be alive

Olympic long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall has revealed she is "lucky and blessed to be alive" after surviving a serious car crash while traveling to training. The 27-year-old American sustained a severe concussion in the head-on collision, which left both vehicles involved unrecognizable. Despite the severity of the crash, Davis-Woodhall stated that she is fortunate to have escaped without any major injuries.

However, she remains uncertain about her ability to compete at the upcoming Ultimate Championships in Budapest, which begin on September 11. The accident has come at a challenging time in her training, as she was approaching the peak of her preparation. Davis-Woodhall has not ruled out participating in the championship but needs more time to recover and assess her condition.
