Nigerian actors supporting bad politicians for personal gains — Olaide Olabanji

Nollywood actor Olaide Olabanji has spoken out against fellow Nigerian actors who support politicians who have done little to improve the country. In an Instagram video, he criticized these actors for failing to speak out against bad governance and use their platforms for the good of Nigerians. Olabanji, who did not name any specific individuals, warned that if these actors do not join others in holding their leaders accountable, their own children will suffer the consequences of their actions.

He also criticized actors who allegedly helped politicians distribute food during election campaigns, questioning the impact of the money they received during the 2023 general elections. Olabanji urged these actors to prioritize the well-being of Nigerians and stop supporting politicians who have contributed to the country's hardships.

He argued that if more actors had spoken out against bad governance, Nigeria would have better healthcare, roads, and security. He called on Nigerian leaders to receive treatment in local hospitals and for citizens to demand accountability from those in power.
