Nigeria exported 281 non-Oil products to 120 countries in 2025 — Official

Nigeria successfully exported 281 non-oil products to 120 countries in 2025, according to the Vice President of the World Trade Centre Abuja, Karim Ahmed. The total value of these exports amounted to $6.1 billion, marking Nigeria's highest formal non-oil export performance. Ahmed delivered this information at the Premier Export Launchpad Bootcamp organized by the World Trade Centre Abuja.

The Vice President emphasized that Nigerian products were gaining access to international markets, but businesses needed to overcome challenges such as market knowledge, standards, certifications, logistics, documentation, payment systems, and consistency to sustain their presence in global markets. Ahmed highlighted that while having a good product or service is the starting point, exporters must comprehend their target markets' requirements, including positioning offerings, adhering to standards and certifications, managing logistics and documentation, securing payment, and delivering consistently and profitably.

The Export Launchpad Bootcamp aims to assist Nigerian businesses in evaluating their preparedness for international trade, identifying suitable markets, and understanding the practical requirements for exporting. The main objective is to help businesses transition from exporting aspirations to actual international transactions.
