Later, Victor Mesa Jr.'s liner to left field was caught by Morabito in a diving play, further solidifying the Mets' lead. The Mets showcased a robust performance, scoring 14 hits throughout the game. Juan Soto's 23rd homer, a solo shot in the eighth inning, and Jared Young's RBI single bolstered the Mets' tally.
