Ndindi Nyoro welcomes 50 new aspirants as PPK expands ahead of 2027

The People's Party of Kenya (PPK) leader Ndindi Nyoro announced the addition of approximately 50 new candidates to the party on September 3, 2026. These new recruits came from various regions across Kenya and sought positions in the governor, senator, parliamentary, and MCA categories. Notable entrants included Ibrahim Said, Ibrahim Said, who aspired to be the governor of Marsabit, Isrom Babu Nyangau and Onyancha Rogers, who targeted the Kisii Senate seat, Sarah Mwangi for the Kirinyaga Senate position, Mathias Mesau for the Makueni Senate seat, and Novince Karalia Atieno for the Nairobi Woman Representative position.

The recruitment was part of PPK's strategy to expand its presence in the upcoming 2027 General Election. Nyoro highlighted the party's growing popularity, stating that PPK was now the fastest-growing political party in Kenya in terms of member registration and aspirants. He attributed the influx of new candidates to the growing confidence Kenyans have in the party's political message.

Nyoro also addressed concerns about potential divisions within the political landscape, emphasizing the importance of unity among political leaders. The party's expansion was evident in the new entrants, drawn from counties such as Homa Bay, Kisii, Kirinyaga, Marsabit, Makueni, Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang'a, Meru, Nyandarua, and Siaya, illustrating PPK's efforts to establish a broader national footprint ahead of the 2027 elections.
