NCCIA issues fresh notices to Momina Iqbal, PML-N MPA Chadhar after new evidence emerges in harassment case

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued fresh notices to TV actor Momina Iqbal and PML-N MPA Chadhar following the emergence of new evidence in a harassment case. Iqbal had previously accused Chadhar of online harassment, cyberbullying, and threats, leading to a case being registered under provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) and the Pakistan Penal Code.

Both parties have been summoned to the NCCIA office in Lahore on Friday, September 4, for a fresh inquiry. A special investigation team, led by a deputy director, will examine the newly obtained digital evidence and previously available records. The investigation team has been given one month to complete its work, after which a report will be submitted to the NCCIA director general.

The agency has stated that it would be premature to declare either individual "guilty" or "innocent" until the investigation is complete.
