Narwal’s New Robot Vacuums and Floor Cleaners Are All About Better Mopping
Mops that can remove old and dried stains are everyone’s concern at IFA Berlin this year.
Narwal has recently unveiled a new lineup of robot vacuums and floor cleaners at IFA Berlin 2026, with a focus on enhancing mopping capabilities. The FlowWash mopping system, previously exclusive to the high-end Flow series, is now being integrated into other models, including the Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge. Junbin Zhang, Narwal's founder and CEO, emphasized that the objective is to bring the expertise behind the Flow 2 mopping technology to a broader audience, expanding their offerings in cleaning categories.
The FlowWash system features a microfiber flat mop roller that ensures consistent floor contact, aiding in the removal of stubborn stains. It utilizes 16 angled water nozzles which continuously refresh and clean the mop using hot water. An integrated scraper works to remove dirt and wastewater, while the system applies 12 newtons of downward pressure for effective mopping.
In the Freo 20 model, this is complemented by 31,000 pascals of suction power and improved navigation through dual RGB cameras and AI recognition of over 300 household objects. The Freo 20 Edge, while lacking the advanced AI object recognition, still boasts mopping features, 31,000 pascals of suction, Lidar, and structured light 3D navigation, a slim design, and a self-emptying and cleaning docking station, making it ideal for smaller living spaces.
Narwal's latest addition, the V50 Cube, is a cordless vacuum equipped with an auto-empty docking station and boasting 210 air watts of suction for handling pet hair and dirt. The wet and dry cleaning line-up extends to the Essential Model for daily use and the Flagship Model, which offers advanced features such as 400-degree-Celsius steam and 95-degree-Celsius hot-water mopping for superior stain removal and sterilization.
Powered by 25,000 pascals of suction, the Flagship Model also includes a floating scraper and a sensor to adjust suction based on floor conditions, with the ability to operate flat for 40 minutes in AI mode. The new wet-and-dry vacuum models are set to launch in European markets in September, with details for the US market to follow.
The Freo 20 has been available in the US since August for $1,099 on Narwal's website and Amazon, with a reduced price of $900 until a certain date. The Freo 20 Edge will be available starting September 7 at the same sites, with a launch price of $700. Pricing and availability for the V50 Cube and the wet-and-dry vacuum will be announced later.
