'My husband should come home today' — Hani appeals on 10th wedding anniversary

Hani Othman, the wife of missing senior fire officer Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, is pleading for her husband's safe return on their 10th wedding anniversary. Loe, nicknamed "Loe," disappeared during floods and landslides near the Nepal-Tibet border. Today marks their 10th anniversary, and instead of celebrating, Hani is anxiously waiting for news of her husband's whereabouts.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Hani reminisced about the dreams and plans they had for their future. They were scheduled to take the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia TVET examination on September 6 and complete a divemaster course in Pulau Tioman in October. Additionally, they had planned to climb Mount Rinjani in May and visit Mount Kilimanjaro in August. Hani even promised to train with Loe and accompany him on the summit of Mount Everest.

Hani's absence from their plans is deeply felt, as she expressed her desire to be by Loe's side during his expedition. In a recent Facebook post, she hoped that none of the recovered bodies was her husband or any member of the team. Friends and acquaintances in Nepal are also contributing to the search efforts. Hani's presence in Nepal has been notified to the Malaysian Embassy there.

Among the Malaysians still unaccounted for following the disaster are Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division deputy director Mohd Sani Harul and Loe. They were believed to have been in a valley when the floods struck.
