Wind speeds were expected to hover around 40–50 kmph, with gusts potentially reaching 50–60 kmph during intense rain episodes. The day's high temperature was anticipated to be around 32°C, while the minimum temperature recorded in the early morning was 28°C.

In the past, Mumbai had witnessed several moderate to heavy rainfall spells during the beginning of August, but these gradually subsided later in the month, yielding mostly light to moderate showers at intervals. With monsoon conditions expected to continue into September, the city is likely to encounter subdued rainfall activity, albeit with intermittent showers.

Citizens should anticipate typical monsoon weather through the week, including cloudy skies, sporadic rain, and gusty winds. Commuters are advised to exercise caution during sudden, intense showers, particularly in areas prone to waterlogging. Motorists are also cautioned to stay alert while traveling during periods of reduced visibility and strong winds.

Despite the ongoing monsoon, Mumbai's air quality remained 'Good' on Thursday morning, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 45. This reading falls within the 'Good' category, which indicates minimal health risks according to the standard AQI classification. Levels between 51 and 100 are classified as 'Moderate', while readings ranging from 101 to 200 are categorized as 'Poor'. Readings between 201 and 300 are deemed 'Unhealthy', while levels above 300 are categorized as 'Severe'.
