MRC’s Rebecca Ferguson-Greta Lee Romance ‘Honeymoon/Funeral’ to Launch Sales at TIFF

MRC has announced that its romantic comedy "Honeymoon/Funeral," starring Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee, will launch worldwide sales at the inaugural Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). MRC is financing and overseeing production of the film, which is directed by Nahnatchka Khan and written by Julia Bicknell. FilmNation Entertainment is handling worldwide sales for the movie.

The film follows two women who meet on a flight from Los Angeles to London: one is on her honeymoon after being left at the altar, while the other is returning home for her mother's funeral. They spend a week together. The film is being produced by Jennifer Carreras and Khan under their Fierce Baby banner, with Bicknell also serving as a producer.

Notable projects under MRC include "Wuthering Heights," "All of You," "American Fiction," "Saltburn," "Fair Play," and "G20." Upcoming films include "The Only Living Pickpocket in New York," "The Gallerist," "A Place in Hell," "The Best is Yet To Come," "Unabomer," and "Eloise." MRC is also known for hit TV series such as "Poker Face," "Terminal List," "Ted," "Ozark," and "House of Cards."

Ferguson currently stars in and executive produces Apple TV's "Silo" and was last seen in Netflix's "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man." Lee gained acclaim for her role in Celine Song's Oscar-nominated film "Past Lives" and has recent credits in "Toy Story 5" and "A House of Dynamite." Khan's filmography includes "Always Be My Maybe" and "Totally Killer."

Bicknell's credits include "Yellowjackets," "Midnight Club," "The Haunting of Bly Manor," and "13 Reasons Why."
