Manitoba woman accused of forging doctor’s note to postpone sentencing hearing

In Dauphin, Manitoba, a 42-year-old woman from Grandview was rearrested and accused of submitting a forged doctor's note to court. According to prosecutors, the woman was set to face sentencing for a theft charge when her hearing was adjourned to a later date. The courtroom official reported the forged note to the RCMP. Police found no evidence that the suspect had been involved in a car crash on July 22 in Manitoba or any other province. The woman has been charged with obstructing justice, forgery, and uttering a forged document.
