Former Ballon d’Or winner Luis Figo has praised Real Madrid’s transfer market activity this summer, stating it was necessary. Speaking on his Betfair platform, the Portuguese legend endorsed the club's signing spree, noting they filled important positions well. Real Madrid bolstered their squad with six new signings, including Diomande, in an effort to rebuild after two seasons without a major trophy.

Figo believed the signings were crucial for the team's atmosphere and fan engagement, adding hope for a successful season ahead. However, he acknowledged that the high fees involved in transfers are becoming challenging to justify commercially, as some transfers, like Diomande's €140 million price tag, may not be profitable. Despite the investment, Figo doesn't foresee a significant shift in the title race between Real Madrid and Barcelona, as Atletico Madrid's performance will likely play a key role.
