Kitui Senator wants opposition to name Kalonzo as its flagbearer

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua is urging the United Opposition to officially designate Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as their Presidential candidate. Senator Wambua argues that the ongoing delay is causing frustration among Kenyans and risks repeating past mistakes that led to the opposition's loss in 2022. Speaking during a town hall meeting in Katse and Kyuso towns, Wambua emphasized that Kalonzo's extensive experience and credentials make him the clear frontrunner among opposition candidates.

He stated, "Kalonzo remains head and shoulders above his competitors in the opposition, and the decision to front him as the man to unseat President William Ruto is long overdue." Wambua asserted that the opposition must make this critical decision soon, as all leaders are well-known and Musyoka surpasses them all. The Senator personally believes Musyoka should be the one to lead the nation.
