In a dispute over overseas travel restrictions, the independent chief Amir Hadi has demanded clarification regarding the imposed travel restrictions. The Executive Director of a company stated he was unaware of the reason for the imposed travel restrictions. Amir claimed he was not informed of the reason for the restrictions and planned to contact Bukit Aman for further clarification and to understand the process of lifting them.

He also expressed willingness to fully cooperate with the authorities if there were any ongoing investigations involving him or the organization. "Travel restrictions without any explanation do not reflect a democratic country. The freedom of movement rights of every citizen," Amir said. When contacted, Amir told FMT that he took the decision to check his travel status after a friend was denied entry into Malaysia after returning from Jakarta last week.

As a result, Amir conducted a check through the MyBorderPass application before finding himself subjected to travel restrictions. He claimed these restrictions were imposed by Bukit Aman. FMT is trying to obtain a response from the Ministry of Interior (KDN) regarding this matter.
