Iraola, hints at Barcola's debut for Liverpool

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has expressed satisfaction with the club's summer transfer business, expressing confidence in the squad he now has at his disposal. Four major additions were made during the summer transfer window, with the £123m signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain standing out. Despite Liverpool deciding against adding another right-back or central midfielder, Iraola defended the club's transfer strategy, stating that the signings made were the ones that would improve the team.

Iraola emphasized that there were other options not pursued due to sporting or economic reasons. The club also completed the £60m signing of Jeremy Jacquet, now on loan from Barcelona, and added Victor Munoz from Osasuna as a winger for £34.5m. Iraola is pleased with the quality available to him and focused on developing the squad, with midfield options being plentiful.

The manager also expressed happiness at retaining Cody Gakpo after Manchester City's £80m bid for him was rejected. With Barcola now available, Iraola hopes his strengthened squad can turn their recent draws into victories as Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign.
