ICTSI marks P2 trillion market capitalization milestone

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) celebrated the remarkable milestone achieved by Enrique Razon Jr.'s International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), which has become the first domestic listed firm to reach a P2-trillion market capitalization. PSE's chairman, Jose Pardo, emphasized that such a performance is a testament to resilience, grit, and leadership, highlighting Razon's expertise and global ambitions.

The achievement was marked by ICTSI closing at a market capitalization of P2.01 trillion on July 14, 2026, with a record high of P2.07 trillion on July 20, 2026, after its share price reached P1,027 per share. Razon, ICTSI's chairman and president, clarified that the company does not closely monitor its stock price or market capitalization, instead focusing on cost management, business operations, and marketing 24/7.

Established in 1987, ICTSI works closely with governments to modernize port infrastructure and enhance operational performance. Pardo noted that ICTSI accomplished this feat in just 10 months, while reaching the initial P1 trillion took 33 years, underscoring the importance of discipline, hard decisions, and calculated risks. The milestone signifies more than just ICTSI's success; it signals to international capital that the Philippines can foster world-class enterprises, contributing significantly to global trade infrastructure.
