I cannot be intimidated, I’ll bring new administration to NPP women’s wing – Hawa Koomson

Mavis Hawa Koomson, the National Women's Organiser hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is confident she possesses the strong character, experience, and resilience to lead the party's women's wing and help it regain power in the 2028 elections. The 12-year veteran of the party, who has previously served as both the constituency women's organiser and a minister for eight years, believes her vast experience will enable her to introduce a new administration focused on addressing the challenges confronting women in the NPP.

In an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen, Madam Koomson emphasized her ability to withstand pressure and stated that her opposition to intimidation sets her apart from others. She also noted that her extensive tenure in the Awutu Senya East constituency and her role as a minister have equipped her with the necessary skills to manage people and resolve difficult issues.

Koomson stated that women in the NPP require a problem-solver who can identify their challenges and provide practical solutions. She reiterated her commitment to women's well-being, even when she was not directly responsible for the sector, showing that her support for women transcends her tenure as the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection.

The National Women's Organiser hopeful is confident that party members have faith in her ability to provide firm leadership and resist intimidation when necessary. She pledged to work tirelessly to help the NPP return to power in 2028, emphasizing the importance of unity, hard work, and resources. Koomson also revealed that her ambitions extend beyond the National Women's Organiser position, aiming for the National Chairmanship of the NPP in the future.
