Gregory Rodrigues sees ‘technical mistakes’ he can exploit in Dricus Du Plessis

Gregory Rodrigues has identified potential openings in Dricus Du Plessis that he could exploit in their upcoming fight. The Brazilian fighter, who recently won four consecutive matches, perceives Du Plessis, the current Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion, as the most logical opponent for his next bout. Rodrigues cited Khamzat Chimaev's uncertain future and the fact that Brendan Allen and Joe Pyfer already had fights booked as reasons for the Dricus Du Plessis matchup.

"That's the fight that makes the most sense," Rodrigues remarked to Sherdog. He also expressed confidence in his ability to beat Du Plessis, highlighting the South African's technical mistakes as potential weaknesses to exploit. Despite having two victories over the current champion Sean Strickland, Du Plessis is not currently considered the top challenger at 185 pounds. His last fight against former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman ended in a decisive decision.
