Govee’s new ceiling light and LED strips are mood boosters with some AI sprinkled in

At IFA 2026, Govee introduced several new lighting products designed to create mood-enhancing atmospheres while incorporating artificial intelligence. Among these offerings are the Govee Sky Ceiling Light and the COB LED Strip Light 2 Pro.

The Govee Sky Ceiling Light is an "AI-powered mood-responsive" ceiling light that adjusts its light output based on daylight conditions. It utilizes a technology known as the "vitality spectrum" to compensate for any deficiencies in natural lighting, aiming to help users stay alert during darker days. The ceiling light offers a color temperature range from 1,000K to 10,000K, producing up to 7,000 lumens of white light.

To optimize its performance, users can employ the "DaySync" feature available in the Govee app, which leverages weather and time data to tailor the lighting conditions.

On the other end of the spectrum, the COB LED Strip Light 2 Pro is designed to provide vibrant and customizable lighting options. This product allows users to input prompts, enabling an AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to generate lighting sequences tailored to specific scenarios. The COB Strip Light 2 Pro features an impressive 1,344 LEDs per meter, with a triple-layer groove design that ensures consistent output in both single-color and dynamic color modes.

Like the ceiling light, its color temperature range also spans from 1,000K to 10,000K. Govee's proprietary LumiBlend+ color engine is employed to generate accurate color reproduction.

The COB Strip Light 2 Pro is marketed as Govee's flagship LED strip, priced at $169 for a 5-meter roll. However, an even more affordable option is available – the COB Strip Light 2, priced at $99 for a single roll. Both the Govee Sky Ceiling Light and COB Strip Light 2 Pro will be available starting today through Govee's website and various retailers, such as Amazon.
