General Tax Authority celebrates graduation of first cohort of tax specialist certificate holders

Doha, Qatar - The General Tax Authority (GTA) celebrated the graduation of its inaugural cohort of employees who earned the "Tax Specialist" Certificate. The group consists of over 20 professionals from various departments, signaling a significant stride in the GTA's commitment to cultivating specialized national talent and investing in human capital.

The certificate is the inaugural specialized professional qualification for tax specialists, accredited by the Authority and recognized by international bodies. This recognition boosts its professional worth and establishes a clear benchmark for qualifications and professional growth in the tax sector.

The program is designed to bolster participants' technical and professional expertise, equipping them to adeptly manage diverse tax issues and cases. It merges specialized knowledge with practical applications pertinent to the workplace. The curriculum involves intensive face-to-face sessions culminating in an examination to evaluate the knowledge and capabilities gained by the participants.

Mohammed Jassim Al Najdi, Director of the Human Resources Department at the GTA, remarked, "The graduation of the first cohort marks a crucial milestone in developing specialized national competencies, underscoring the Authority's dedication to offering high-caliber professional prospects that empower its employees to further refine their knowledge and competencies, thereby enhancing their readiness to adapt to the evolving demands of tax administration."
