Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Story DLC Starring Two Fan-Favorite Characters Confirmed

Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, the concluding chapter in its Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy. The game will be available on April 8, 2027, during Sony's PlayStation State of Play broadcast. The announcement confirms that the game will launch simultaneously for all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The main cast, including Cid, Yuffie, Red XIII, Vincent, Barret, Tifa, Cait Sith, and Cloud, will make appearances in the game. Additionally, battle customization has been detailed. Sidequests will now evolve based on the character you are controlling, and players can skip through dialogue at double speed, causing characters to sound like chipmunks.

Players will also be able to jump down from the Highwind into the new region of Wutai, parachuting down to ground level, much like in Fortnite. Most excitingly, players will be able to photograph cats in the game's new features.

Red XIII, the loyal companion from the original game, is now the focus of Revelation's compulsive Queen's Blood card game.
