Elite quarterback to visit FSU for SMU game

Florida State University is actively seeking a top-tier quarterback for the upcoming 2028 recruiting class, with elite prospect Chandler Dyson from Warner Robins High School in Georgia emerging as their primary target. Dyson, who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds, has already visited the Seminoles for a camp in June and an unofficial visit in November, and recently extended his offer to the team after another camp in summer.

As a highly sought-after recruit, Dyson is ranked No. 154 nationwide and No. 10 in quarterbacks by Rivals. In Georgia, he is ranked No. 21 among players. Major offers have come from the LSU Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Ole Miss Rebels, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, with the Seminoles included among the top five schools pursuing his recruitment.

Dyson attributes his rising stock to the consistent communication from FSU's quarterbacks coach Austin Tucker, who frequently FaceTimes with the prospect. Dyson's impressive sophomore season in 2025 showcased his potential, as he amassed 2,138 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, along with 536 yards on 60 rushing attempts, scoring four TDs.

This visit to FSU is crucial as the Seminoles aim to solidify their position as the leading contender for Dyson's commitment.
