Egypt and China strengthen bilateral security and diplomatic ties

Egypt and China have bolstered their bilateral security and diplomatic ties, expressing a steadfast commitment to stability in the Middle East. In a joint statement, the two nations emphasized the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and urged for unrestricted humanitarian aid access to the area. Cairo and Beijing called for the immediate lifting of any restrictions that could hinder the delivery of essential aid.

The Egyptian and Chinese governments also advocated for the Palestinian Authority to regain control over the Gaza Strip, viewing it as a crucial measure to restore administrative unity and political stability in the region. They expressed grave concern over the growing tensions in the region, deploring the aggressive military actions by Israeli forces in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The pair underscored their deep apprehension over the intensifying acts of settler violence, land seizures, and the accelerated construction of settlements, all of which they warned are detrimental to prospects of lasting peace.

Both nations stressed the indispensable importance of preserving Palestine's territorial integrity. In their diplomatic stance towards North Africa, Egypt and China called for respect for Sudan's sovereignty, territorial unity, and national institutions, vehemently rejecting any external interference in the country's internal affairs.
