DAAM and Katara sign funding agreement to support S’hail 2026

Doha, Qatar - The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has inked a funding deal with the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, to back the 10th edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail 2026). The exhibition is set to happen from September 8-12.

This is the ninth year in a row that DAAM has provided financial backing to the event, starting from its second edition. The support aims to keep the exhibition thriving, building on its past success, and cementing its reputation as one of the region's premier cultural and heritage gatherings. It attracts hunters, falconry experts, and enthusiasts from Qatar and beyond.

The agreement underscores DAAM's and the Qatar Stock Exchange-listed companies' commitment to backing cultural and heritage projects and sustainable development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. DAAM and these companies play a pivotal role in fostering social development through various projects and initiatives across the cultural, social, sports, and charitable sectors.

The Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail) is an annual event hosted by Qatar. It brings together falconers, hunting lovers, experts, and exhibitors from all over the globe. The event features falcon auctions, hunting and travel gear, traditional crafts, and international cultural pavilions. The exhibition aids in sharing knowledge and helps preserve and promote the legacy of falconry.

Since its inception in 2010, DAAM has launched numerous critical projects and initiatives in various sectors, thanks to contributions from public shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange, which are vital partners in advancing social development.
