'Clear Case Of Political Vendetta': BJP MP Raghav Chadha After His Name Goes Missing From Punjab Voter Rolls

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha claims his name was intentionally omitted from Punjab's draft electoral rolls prepared under the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Chadha alleges the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is using the electoral revision exercise for a "political vendetta" against him and other BJP politicians who left the party.

He asserts his voter ID is registered in Mohali, Punjab, yet his name is marked as "permanently shifted" in the draft rolls. Chadha emphasizes the issue could be resolved as the SIR process allows voters to file claims before finalizing the electoral rolls. However, he suspects the deletion might be politically motivated, citing the involvement of state government officials in the revision process.

Chadha also claims Punjab's political landscape has seen retaliation against other politicians who switched parties from AAP to BJP, suggesting this is part of a broader political vendetta.
