City Boy Movement appoints Balami as executive board member, national director on special duty

The City Boy Movement has announced the appointment of Isaac Balami as an executive board member and the National Director on Special Duty. Balami, an aviation entrepreneur and political mobiliser, recently left the Obidient Movement but has been actively rallying support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.

His appointment was formally presented by the Movement's Director-General, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, and National Secretary, Hon. Tosin Odufuwa, alongside other board members. This move is seen as significant due to Balami's growing influence among young political groups, particularly in the North and Middle Belt regions. Additionally, Balami is notable as the first Christian from Northern Nigeria to serve on the board, which is believed to strengthen representation of diverse ethnic, religious, and regional interests.

The appointments of Balami and Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari, the son of a former Zamfara Governor and a key figure in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, are expected to bolster the Movement's political structure and expand its reach among young Nigerians and political support groups. Balami's previous role as Deputy Campaign Manager for the Obi/Datti campaign in 2023 further underscores his dedication to political advocacy and mobilisation.
