Belkin has announced two super-slim semi-solid-state power banks — and we’ve already had an early look at them

Belkin has unveiled two super-thin semi-solid-state power banks at IFA 2026, boasting 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh capacities. These innovative power banks are significantly slimmer than traditional counterparts with the same capacities, and promise longer battery life before degradation due to their advanced semi-solid-state construction. Semi-solid-state batteries offer higher density, enabling higher capacity without thickening the device, and degrade more slowly.

The first power bank, the Belkin UltraCharge Pro Slim Magnetic Power Bank with BoostSolid Cell, offers a 5,000mAh capacity and is just 8.8mm thick. This makes it up to 40% slimmer than comparable 5,000mAh power banks, which typically measure around 15mm. The UltraCharge Pro Slim powers Qi2-certified 15W magnetic wireless charging, 22.5W USB-C wired charging, and supports pass-through charging.

It can retain most of its capacity across 1,000 charging cycles. The second power bank, the Belkin 10,000mAh UltraCharge Pro, delivers up to 60W of power, features dual USB-C and USB-A ports, and includes a battery and charging information display. It also supports pass-through charging, although it is thicker than the 5,000mAh version but still 27% slimmer than standard 45W 10,000mAh power banks.

Both power banks come in Black and Sand colors. TechRadar reviewer Harry Padoan found them to be impressive due to their slim build and solid performance, and praised their build quality. Belkin’s offerings are among the first to feature this advanced battery technology, typically seen in other brands' power banks, like the Kuxia S3.

The 5,000mAh power bank will be available for £59.99 (approximately $80 / AU$110), while the 10,000mAh model is priced at £69.99 (around $95 / AU$130) from Belkin’s website, Amazon, and other retailers worldwide, starting this month.
