Azeez targets EPL stability after Brighton move

Brighton Football Club has completed the signing of Championship striker Femi Azeez on a four-year deal, securing a move from Millwall. The Nigeria international, 25, will join the Premier League side at a transfer fee reported to reach £15 million, with Brighton paying an initial £12.5 million and performance-related add-ons of over £2.5 million.

Azeez expressed his focus on settling into the Premier League and the club during his first interview with the Seagulls. He acknowledged the jump in level and emphasized the importance of hard work, patience, and taking feedback from his teammates in adapting to the new environment. Brighton's manager and the club's ambitious drive were key factors in Azeez's decision to join the team, citing the club's history of player development and alignment with his own ambition.

The 2025/26 season was a standout year for Azeez, as he scored 11 goals and provided 8 assists in 35 Championship appearances for Millwall, earning him selections in both the EFL Championship Team of the Season and the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
