AWOL Vision’s new $5,999 4K UST projector fixes two of the biggest setup and gaming headaches

AWOL Vision recently introduced its new $5,999 4K UST projector, the LuxVision, which addresses two major concerns with ultra-short-throw projectors: complicated setup alignment and relatively low refresh rates. The LuxVision marks the first UST projector to combine native 4K resolution at 120Hz with an optical lens shift mechanism, providing exceptional clarity for fast motion.

Its 120Hz refresh rate enhances the viewing experience for high-frame-rate content, making game controls feel more immediate due to an input lag reduction to just 1 millisecond. The projector offers three HDMI 2.1 inputs, a dedicated DisplayPort, and four-channel HDMI Multiview mode for simultaneous source operation. It also supports modern display features like ALLM, VRR, and Dolby Vision Gaming.

The projector's tight 0.18-to-1 throw ratio allows for a sizable 200-inch image when positioned only a few inches from the wall. Furthermore, the vertical option lens shift enables precise image positioning, avoiding the pixel cropping and blur problems associated with digital keystone alignment. Powered by an RGB triple-laser system, the LuxVision delivers 6,000 ISO lumens, ensuring vivid contrast even in well-lit spaces.

The projector covers 100 percent of the Rec.2020 color space and supports dynamic tone mapping, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced integration. To improve long-term viewing comfort, AWOL Vision has implemented an updated second-generation anti-rainbow processing system to minimize visual fatigue. Although the LuxVision's high price point of $5,999 in the US is steep, it is consistent with the company's previous flagship projector, the LTV-3500 Pro.

The projector is expected to launch around October, though a specific launch date has not been confirmed. Anker showcased numerous products at IFA 2026, with standout items including AI-equipped earbuds under the AeroClip 2 series.
