Apple TV has shared a trailer for new movie Being Heumann — and fans of the Oscar-winning CODA won't want to miss it

Apple TV has unveiled a trailer for the upcoming film, Being Heumann, which is set to premiere on November 13. The movie has a promising start due to its ties to CODA, a critically acclaimed film featured on Apple TV's original series lineup. Despite Apple TV's prominence as a streaming giant, it has typically struggled to deliver standout movies, with CODA being the notable exception.

CODA not only earned Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor at the 2022 Oscars, but it also helped Apple TV gain recognition in the realm of cinematic storytelling.

Directed by Sian Heder, the film that follows in CODA's footsteps chronicles the life of Judith Heumann, a prominent Disability Rights Activist. Heumann's tireless efforts to improve the lives of disabled individuals and combat discrimination make her a pivotal figure in the movement. Ruth Madeley brings Heumann to life on screen, with Mark Ruffalo playing Joseph Califano, the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare in the Jimmy Carter Administration.
