Anker's New MindBase Home Hub Runs AI Locally, Doubles as NAS

Anker has unveiled its new MindBase home hub, a device designed to run AI locally and function as a network-attached storage (NAS) system. Compatible with nearly 100 Anker devices, as well as Matter-enabled smart home gadgets from other manufacturers, the MindBase seamlessly integrates with HomeKit. Powered by an AI Core compute card and the on-device Anker TrueSmart AI Agent, the hub also provides up to 48TB of local storage for file, photo, and video storage.

The MindBase Security Kit, featuring Anker security cameras, will complement the hub. The kit includes the TrackLight Cam S1, S4 Video Doorbell, and Smart Security Shield sensor. Anker's on-device AI analyzes events in real-time, assessing potential risks and responding through observation, lighting adjustments, verbal warnings, or active deterrence. The Smart Security Shield sensor can be placed at the edge of a property to detect strangers from up to 15 meters away using radar technology.

In addition to the MindBase, Anker is introducing several new home security products. The Eufy Video Doorbell S4 combines a wired doorbell and security camera, boasting a 9-megapixel lens with 3K resolution and a 180-degree field of view. The Eufy Window Camera E10 is designed for rentals, featuring a 25-degree adjustable tilt, anti-glare optics, and 2.5K resolution recording.

The Eufy Fall Detection Sensor employs mmWave radar sensing to detect falls without cameras, supporting two-way communication when mounted on a wall. Lastly, the Eufy NVR Security System E50 combines an 8-channel network video recorder with four hybrid bullet pan-tilt-zoom dual-lens cameras, available in 2K and 4K resolutions. Pricing and availability details for the MindBase and Fall Detection Sensor are yet to be announced.
