YSRCP leader honours former CM with unique ‘Jala Abhishekam’

On the 17th death anniversary of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, a unique tribute known as 'Jala Abhishekam' was conducted in Chittoor district. While supporters offered garlands and milk to his statue, YSR Congress Party's Chittoor district president and former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy paid homage by pouring water over the bust.

The tribute came a day after Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Veligonda project in Markapuram, which was criticized by YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as 'credit chori'. Karunakar Reddy emphasized the numerous irrigation projects undertaken by YSR under his 'Jalayagnam' initiative, emphasizing that both YSR and Jagan regimes played a crucial role in the Veligonda project's completion.
