Wike, Obaseki, PDP Mourn Dan Orbih

Chuks Okocha, Olawale Ajimotokan in Abuja and Felix Omoh-Asun in Benin report that Nyesom Wike, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Godwin Obaseki, former governor of Edo State, have mourned the passing of PDP National Vice Chairman (South-south), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih. Orbih, who died on August 31 at the age of 64, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih, and children, Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih, as well as siblings and other family members.

Wike described Orbih's death as deeply painful, calling him a "friend indeed" and a "committed political ally." Obaseki noted that Orbih had provided leadership to PDP in Edo State and served as PDP National Vice Chairman, South South, contributing significantly to the party's development in Edo State and Nigeria. The PDP leadership hailed Orbih as a loyal, committed, and dependable party member, praising his dedication, wisdom, and contributions to the party's growth and stability. PDP mourned Orbih's passing as a significant loss to the party, its members, and the nation.
