Warriors' Steph Curry reportedly battling concerning injury with contract extension on the horizon

Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors star, is reportedly dealing with a troubling injury that could potentially impact his playing time this season. The concerned issue is Curry's right knee, commonly referred to as "runner's knee." The injury began to cause pain and swelling during a workout in Minneapolis on January 24th, and Curry played through it for a few games before missing more than two months due to the condition, known as runner's knee.

ESPN's Anthony Slater reported on the injury last season, and despite it being managed, there is still some lingering concern within the Warriors organization. NBC Sports' Monte Poole mentioned that while the knee can be managed, it may flare up again and force Curry to miss additional time. Curry, at 38 years old, is approaching the end of his career, yet he remains confident that he will play most of the season, with the Warriors ready to offer him a contract extension worth $136.7 million through the 2028-29 season.
