Lucknow, September 2 - As millions of devotees prepare to journey to Mathura, Vrindavan and Govardhan to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami on September 4, the Yogi government is taking measures to ensure smooth transport arrangements. The Ministry of Transport (Independent Charge) has directed Minister of State Dayashankar Singh to ensure comprehensive transport arrangements for buses and at bus stations.
Transport Minister Singh has emphasized the need for vigilance at major religious sites, especially in terms of law and order, security and transport. The Managing Director of the Transport Corporation, Prabhu N Singh, has instructed Regional and Assistant Regional Managers to maintain high alertness.
