Uber shuts down Nigerian operations

Uber acknowledged the role played by drivers in providing transportation services to residents, noting their commitment had helped keep the city moving safely and affordably.

The company praised the platform's impact in Nigeria, describing its role as a technology bridge connecting riders with independent drivers. Uber's Help Centre will remain available to assist drivers with questions until September 24, 2026.
