Khosrowshahi noted that the structures that made sense for smaller businesses no longer serve the current scale of the multinational corporation.

The savings generated from this restructuring will be reinvested in growth, innovation, and the development of autonomous capabilities. Specifically, Uber has decreased the number of employees at seven or more levels from the CEO by 20% and reduced director-level microteams by nearly 50%.
