Tim Curry’s Cause of Death Revealed

Tim Curry, the iconic actor known for his flamboyant characters and colorful stage performances, has passed away at the age of 80 on August 25 in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Department of Public Health's public health records reveal that his cause of death was coronary artery disease, a condition where the main blood vessels that supply blood to the heart become narrowed due to a buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances. This condition leads to reduced blood flow to the heart muscle.

Curry's battle with kidney cancer is also cited as a contributing factor to his death, although it was not the underlying cause. In 2012, Curry suffered a stroke, which left him using a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. He was best known for his roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Annie, It, Muppet Treasure Island, and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

His longtime manager and friend, Marcia Hurwitz, praised Curry's "inimitable, flamboyant characters and colorful stage performances" as well as his "curious, expansive mind and generous, gentle heart." Curry's legacy lives on through his remarkable body of work.
